To celebrate its 60th Anniversary, the Faculty of Agriculture, Sam Ratulangi University, North Sulawesi, in collaboration with the International Coconut Community convened an international webinar with the theme “Coconut in Smart Agriculture”. Webinar on “Health and Economic Benefits of VCO during COVID-19 and Beyond” was organized on 8th December 2020. This is in continuation of the agreement between the International Coconut Community (ICC) in collaboration with the Non-Aligned Movement Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation (NAM-CSSTC) in providing cooperative services to the member countries in research and development programs, capacity-building, technology transfer, under the theme: “Stay Healthy and Productive during Covid-19 Pandemic”.

In unprecedented time amid COVID-19 pandemic which poses the greatest threat to global public health, the 56th ICC Session and Ministerial Meeting was held virtually on 24 – 26 November 2020 at Jakarta. The Government of Samoa holds the Chair of International Coconut Community (ICC) for the CY 2019-2020 and was host of the 56th ICC Session & Ministerial Meeting.
