Coconut Fibre Dust

Coconut Fibre Dust, also called Coco Pith, Coco  Peat, Coir Waste etc., is the material binding and keeping  in place the  different types of  fibre in the  coconut husk. It consists mainly of  lignin and cellulose. It is obtained in the extraction of  coconut fibre. It has high water absorbent properties and is therefore extensively used in plantations to  improve the  water holding capacity of soils. In recent times, it has been  exported  to  Middle  eastern  countries  and  Europe  for purposes  of  soil reconditioning , land scaping  and potting.
