The coconut farmers are still dependent on copra for their livelihood inspite of the low economic returns. Product diversifi cation was not fully achieved due to lack of market information on product with good potential for local and foreign markets and insufficient awareness campaign on the different coconut products and their production technologies. The paper deals on the status of some non-traditional coconut food products, their production technologies, consumer’ s acceptance and marketing opportunities and constraints. Specific products from coconut milk, coconut water and coconut residue were presented. The production aspects and marketing problems and strategies were discussed.
