A Framework For Coordination Of The Development Of Tissue Culture Techiques For A Breakthrough In Vegetative Propagation Of Coconut
Agricultural research may be highly profitable or may be a great waste of resources. Creating , coordinating and operating productive agricultural research is a complicated undertaking. It is even more so if a highly commercial crop such as the coconut is concerned. The paper presents some of the researchable gaps in the development of the technology to asexually propagate the coconut palm aiming at a faster coordination and use of generated information . Coordinated regular meetings and workshops of the various researchers involved will make each of them share th e progress achieved , there by avoiding unnecessary duplication , particularly at this developmental stage where secrecy is high. This is to be expected when generated technology is highly viable commercially.
